Very Special Personal Quote - Never say OLD
Quote of the Day:
Today's quote is especially meaningful to me for several reasons. It is a quote from a letter sent by my paternal grandmother (Grandma) to my maternal grandmother (Mama) on the occasion of her 97th birthday (January 11, 1990). Grandma was to be 100 (April 4, 1990) only 3 months later.
"Well, I'm still not OLD, I've just been here a long time, ha, ha, not retired either. I keep trying. Never say OLD, keep by enjoying every one who brings you a smile, and, when you feel bad, just say tomorrow I'll be better, and when it rains put on a pretty red dress and sing like the birds that sings in the rain."
